Airlines that fly bikes for free?

I remember flying somewhere with my bike and the bike was free. Does anyone know which airline it was? I have been researching online and it seems very expensive. I plan on leaving Monday, April 13th, from Sacramento to Phoenix one way to join my friend riding to Florida. Thankyou!!
